Abstract
In March 2004 OA carried out a field evaluation at 25 High Street, Lambourn. No archaeological deposits or features were encountered. The evaluation revealed areas of made-ground within the north and east of the site and a modern rubbish dump to the south of the garden area. The underlying natural was deeper than originally expected and consisted of a broad layer of flinty riverine gravels overlying lower powdery chalk.
