Abstract
Oxford Archaeology was commissioned by S&M Collins to carry out an
archaeological evaluation of the site of a proposed housing development at
Glebe Farm, Weald, Bampton, Oxfordshire. The works comprised the
excavation of five evaluation trenches targeting the footprints of the proposed
houses. The evaluation did not identify any archaeological remains, although
it did establish that the site had been extensively truncated by agricultural
buildings which previously occupied the site. The evaluation was conducted
on the 5th and 6th of September 2018.
