Abstract

During December 2005, Oxford Archaeology carried out a watching brief and field evaluation at Edgewarebury Park and Bury Farm in the London Borough of Barnet, on behalf of the Environment Agenecy.

Three worked flints, Mesolithic or early Neolithic date, were recovered from the topsoil. In addition, the evaluation revealed a shallow gully and a small pit of 18th or 19th century date within the eatern part of the site. Within the southern part of the site, three localised deposits of made ground and dumped 20th century domestic materils were recorded to a maximum depth of 1.50m
