Abstract

On Novemtber 22nd 2004 Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out a field evaluation at Karrick House, Tanners Lane, Shrewton, Wiltshire (NGR: SU 068 442) on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Manning. The evaluation revealed extensive deposits of modern garden soils, an earlier worked soil and alluvial clay and gravels overlying a natural clay. Other than the worked
soil no significant archaeological features or deposits were encountered during thte evaluation.
