Abstract
The desk-top assessment identifies 55 sites of archaeological interest within the study area,of which the majority were recorded in the Sites and Monuments Record. The majority of these were post-medieval in date, and consisted mainly of quarries, lime kilns and listed buildings. Eleven of these sites are directly within the corridor of the pipeline, and are likely to be adversely affected by its construction.
