Abstract
In September 2015, OA North were commissioned by Nexus Planning Ltd to undertake an heritage assessment of Britannia Mill, Mossley, Greater Manchester. The heritage assessment was required to inform and support a planning application to demolish the remaining structure of the mill as part of a regeneration of the site.
This report provides an asessment of the existing building within its historic context, and an understanding of the surrounding area based on historical research and a rapid survey of the mill.
