Abstract

Lancaster University Archaeological Unit (LUAU) undertook a building investigation of
West Barn, Hornby Road, Wray, Lancashire (SD 6004 6768), in August 2001. The
investigation was a condition of planning consent, and was undertaken in advance of
conversion of the site to domestic use. The aim of the survey was to create plans and
cross-sections and analyse the form, function, age and development of the barn.
