Abstract

Surface collection by fieldwalking was undertaken on behalf of Blue Circle Inductries plc in accordance with a brief prepared by Wiltshire County Council County Archaeological Service. The quantities of the materials recovered were small. The main categories of finds were worked flint and burnt unworked flint of prehistoric date and ceramic building material of post-medieval date. Very small numbers of other finds were recovered. The distribution of both the worked flint and burnt flint show a general scatter of finds with no specific concentrations. The ceramic building materials were less generally scattered but again did not reveal any significant concentration. The other materials were found in such small quantities that there istributions are not significant.
